Many changes in admission combinations
In 2026, the University of Law (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) uses 4 admission methods, including:
Method 1:
- Considering the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
- Combine high school graduation exam results with international English certificates (IELTS, TOEFL iBT) for admission consideration.
Method 2: Direct admission; Priority admission according to the regulations of the Enrollment Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Article 8).
Method 3: Consider the results of the Aptitude Assessment exam organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Method 4: Admission of students from university preparatory schools.
Specifically, in the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, in 2026, the school uses 7 admission combinations and there is no difference in admission scores between admission combinations, including: C01, C02, C03, C04, C14, D01, D03.
Thus, compared to 2025, in 2026, the school has removed admission combinations A01, A07, D14, D15; adding combinations C01, C02, C04, C14, D03.
This year, the Border Guard Academy will use three admission combinations, not considering degrees C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and A01 (Math, Physics, English) as every year.
Specifically, from 2026, this school will only use three combinations: C03 (Literature, Mathematics, History), C04 (Literature, Mathematics, Geography) and D01 (Literature, Mathematics, English) for both training majors, Border Guard and Law.
With the removal of considering combinations C00 and A01, the remaining three combinations of the school have two common subjects: Math and Literature.
For Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, this year the school plans to open 4 new majors including: Financial Technology, Digital Economy, E-commerce and Chinese Language (legal).
In addition to opening new majors, in 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law is also expected not to use combinations C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) in university admissions.
Adjusting enrollment quotas
In 2026, the University of Labor and Social Affairs applies 5 methods of admission for undergraduate training and international certificate conversion:
- Admission based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
- Admission based on high school academic results (admission records).
- Admission based on the results of the competency assessment/thinking assessment exam.
- Direct admission according to the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Admission based on academic results at preparatory schools of ethnic minority universities.
Regarding enrollment quotas, at the Hanoi headquarters, the school plans to enroll 180 quotas for the Finance - Banking major (a decrease of 20 quotas compared to 2025), 50 quotas for the Financial Insurance major (a decrease of 50 quotas compared to 2025)...
At the Ho Chi Minh City campus, it is expected to recruit 70 targets for Business Administration major (a decrease of 100 targets compared to 2025)...
