The couple Hac - Bach Cong Tu are opposite in appearance and demeanor."
Director Ly Minh Thang added that Cong Duong is a suitable choice to transform into the young master Bach Tu Phat in the movie "Cong Tu Bac Lieu".
Cong Duong always exudes a calm, scholarly look, contrasting with the strength and wildness of the Black Prince. With the two pieces Cong Duong and Song Luan, director Ly Minh Thang not only hopes to bring an entertaining story about the luxurious life of the two princes, but also helps viewers clearly feel the subtle differences in the lifestyle and inner thoughts of each character.
During the journey of transforming into the duo Ba Hon - Tu Phat, Cong Duong was not only a co-star, but also a strong supporter of Song Luan in perfecting the character of Black Prince. Song Luan shared that Cong Duong is a person with a talent for foreign languages, not only English, but also Thai.
That's why, when both of them were exposed to French, Cong Duong supported him a lot. The actor and Song Luan practiced each line to ensure that "Black Prince" pronounced French correctly, bringing out the luxurious and rich image of "Bac Lieu Prince".
An interesting behind-the-scenes information revealed by actor Cong Duong is that he was not initially cast for the role of Tu Phat, but for another role, but was unsuccessful.
A few months later, Cong Duong was unexpectedly contacted by the crew of "Cong Tu Bac Lieu" and offered him the role of Bach Cong Tu Tu Phat. Being "chosen" for an unexpected role, Cong Duong had to make many times more effort to research and learn about Bach Cong Tu's demeanor, gestures and charisma through documents, in order to portray a vivid character, close to the audience's imagination of "Cau Tu".
According to actor Cong Duong, he and the character Bach Cong Tu Phat have many similarities. Both love calmness, always take care of their appearance, especially the way they dress. Like Bach Cong Tu - who loved Cai Luong so much that he once opened a theater troupe, Cong Duong also has a love for art, especially music. Therefore, Cong Duong easily found a "connecting thread" with the character, because many elements of Bach Cong Tu were already present in him.
Cong Duong said that it was a great fortune that helped him feel closer and understand the character more deeply.
