On August 17, the Korea Business Research Institute announced the brand reputation ranking for idol groups in August 2026.
The ranking is determined through the analysis of big data collected from July 17 to August 17. The evaluation criteria include consumer participation, media frequency, interaction and community recognition.
BTS continues to lead with a brand reputation index of 7,107,645 points, up 9.04% compared to July. This is a result showing the group's stable influence after many years of operation.
In the keyword analysis section, high-ranking phrases related to BTS include "ARMY", "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG" and "world tour". Prominent related keywords are "surpassed", "record" and "boycott".
BTS's positive-negative analysis results recorded 93.07% positive responses. This figure partly reflects public interest in the group's new activities and plans.
Closely following BTS in second place is RESCENE with 7,045,802 points. The group's index increased by 40.50% compared to the previous month, thereby significantly narrowing the gap with the top of the table.
IVE ranked third with 3,964.002 points, up 32.23% compared to July. The remaining two positions in the top 5 belonged to SEVENTEEN with 3,718,069 points and TWICE with 3,591,890 points respectively.
Blackpink ranked 6th this month. The group just marked the 10th anniversary of their debut and continues to receive attention thanks to their joint activities as well as the individual influence of each member.
CORTIS attracted attention when it won 7th place, ranked above aespa, Red Velvet and ATEEZ. The remaining groups in the top 10 are respectively aespa at 8th place, Red Velvet at 9th place and ATEEZ at 10th place.
From positions 11 to 20 belong to ILLIT, ENHYPEN, BIGBANG, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, I.O.I, Girls' Generation, fromis_9, RIIZE and NMIXX.
The next positions in the top 30 include i-dle, OH MY GIRL, EXO, SHINee, Apink, H1-KEY, Super Junior, Stray Kids, BTOB and idntt.
The ranking reflects the level of discussion and brand recognition of the groups during the survey period, which is not entirely synonymous with popularity or musical achievements.
