Ca Mau opens Heritage Culture Festival and Hot Air Balloon Festival

On the evening of August 28, Ca Mau opened the Heritage Culture Festival and Hot Air Balloon Festival with the theme "Convergence of cultural identity at the southernmost tip of the Fatherland".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the festival aims to honor cultural values and heritage, and at the same time create opportunities for people and tourists to experience and feel the beauty of the land and people of Ca Mau.

Ca Mau province wishes to remove heritage from the conservation space to go into life; make culture an attractive part of tourism products. Through this, cultural values are not only preserved but also contribute to creating livelihoods, jobs and income for the community.

The festival takes place from August 27 to September 2, with a series of cultural, artistic, tourism, commercial and investment promotion activities.

The highlight is the Cultural Heritage Space, introducing many typical traditional cultural forms of regions such as Southern amateur music, water puppetry, ca tru, then singing, bai choi, Quan ho folk songs...

Within the framework of the festival, there is also the Ca Mau Province Investment Promotion Conference 2026; Trade Fair, Food and OCOP; linkage activities, surveys, destination experiences; art exhibitions and art programs.

Notably, the Hot Air Balloon Festival, hot air balloon lantern night and art fireworks program are organized along with many experiential activities serving people and tourists.

One of the activities expected to make a mark is the flag-raising ceremony, flag salute towards National Day September 2nd at the Hanoi Flagpole - Ca Mau Cape, with the national flag covering an area of more than 20,000m2.

Ca Mau province expects the festival not only to attract tourists during the holidays but also to create more reasons for tourists to come, stay longer, experience more and return many times.

The locality orients itself to organize the annual Heritage Culture Festival and Hot Air Balloon Festival, gradually building it into a cultural and tourist rendezvous, contributing to promoting the image of Ca Mau - the southernmost land of the Fatherland.
