Singer criticized for plagiarizing Blackpink, BTS, Baby Monster

Indian singer Ipsitaa has been slammed for plagiarizing K-pop music videos from IVE, Blackpink, BTS, Baby Monster and more.

According to Korean media, viewers have been sharing about singer Ipsitaa's recent music video for the song "Kadar Na Jaane".

Fans of Korean groups pointed out that her video features scenes similar to iconic moments from several K-pop music videos, including those of BTS, Blackpink, aespa, IVE, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Baby Monster, and more.

For example, the music video starts with a scene that is very similar to Wonyoung falling out of the plane in IVE's "I AM".

Additionally, Korean netizens also pointed out the video's aesthetic references to aespa's KWANGYA world, Blackpink's "Whistle," and scenes from IZ*ONE's music videos. Many Korean viewers called the video "blatant plagiarism."

This is not the first time K-pop artists have been accused of plagiarism; many other groups and singers have previously been criticized for copying the choreography and fashion styles of famous K-pop idols.

Some BTS members are currently serving in the military, while member J-hope will be discharged in mid-October. Meanwhile, the girls of Blackpink are expected to return in 2025. Baby Monster will release an album in the near future.
