Recorded on July 11 on the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway section from Cam Lo commune to Ben Quan commune with a length of about 35km, showing that many vehicles still travel back and forth. The road surface is nearly 100% paved with asphalt, so cars can run smoothly throughout the route, leading many people to travel without permission.
Notably, not only private cars but also trucks run on the highway. Many vehicles are still going in the wrong direction, crossing unfinished intersections, causing the risk of collisions to always lurk.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police, this expressway is still in the completion stage. Along the route, many sections still have construction material storage areas, construction vehicles, and power lines running across the road. Important traffic safety items such as railings, hard median strips, road markings, signs, directional boards, etc. have not been installed synchronously. The road surface is still covered with dirt and rocks, sharp iron nails. All create an environment with a high risk of accidents for people and vehicles.
At Km729+300, through Con Tien commune, although the road surface has been paved, workers are working on guarding the rails and transporting materials, but vehicles are still crowded, causing the construction force to always be in a state of tension because they are afraid of unexpected incidents.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (the investor of the expressway), at the starting point of the route (old Quang Binh province) and the end of the route (old Quang Tri), the unit has set up checkpoints, but there are some points, such as in Ben Quan commune where there is a road for people traveling in the square with the expressway, the unit is constructing an overpass so it cannot be blocked, so some vehicles have entered the expressway from this point.
In addition, the expressway is not yet completed, there are still some items under construction, so every day there are vehicles of the construction unit checking the project, especially the defecated cars of the construction team that still have to enter and exit the expressway, so the road cannot be completely closed. Therefore, people's vehicles are following and " got lost" on the expressway that has not been exploited.
"We have equipped reflective vests for engineers and workers and posted reflective papers on construction vehicles. However, we continue to advise people not to enter the route, especially at night, to ensure safety for themselves and the construction force emphasized a representative of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.
The Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province also called on people to absolutely not arbitrarily travel on the expressway that has not been handed over for exploitation to avoid unfortunate consequences that may occur.
