On November 7, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports announced the decision to fine Jack (Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan) for performing a song with offensive lyrics at the Youth under the Moon program in Hanoi.
The notice clearly stated: "On November 7, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports administratively sanctioned Mr. Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan (singer Jack) for performing artistically using words contrary to the traditional customs of the nation, causing negative impacts on ethics, public health and social psychology.
Fine: 55 million VND; additional fine: suspension of performing activities, term of 9 months (Decision on administrative sanctions No. 1491/QD-XPHC dated November 7, 2025)".
Previously, on October 16, the program "Moonlit Childhood" held in Hanoi caused a stir in public opinion with Jack's performance. The lyrics that the male singer performed are considered offensive, vulgar, and inappropriate, causing public outrage.
On October 20, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports issued a document requesting The East Entertainment Services Company Limited to report on the incident.
On October 21, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports chaired a meeting with the City Police and the People's Committee of Bach Mai Ward to work with The East Entertainment Service Company Limited to verify and clarify the reflections.
The verification results show that The East Entertainment Services Company Limited has included a song in the program that was not in the list approved by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. In the song, there are some lyrics that are reflected as not in accordance with traditional customs, showing signs of violating regulations on artistic performance.
After that, the company representative admitted the violation, and seriously accepted responsibility and pledged to correct it, not to let similar incidents happen in the future.
As for Jack, the male singer has announced a temporary hiatus from all performing activities from October 30. Jack said that he and his crew have had time to work seriously with cultural management agencies after recent scandals and will try to listen more, improve themselves to prepare well for the next journey.
