The Korean Business Research Institute has just announced the brand reputation rankings of actors in July.
The results were determined through statistics and analysis of media coverage, participation, interaction and community indexes of 100 actors appearing in TV series, movies or OTT (online) content released from July 22-22.
Notably, Choo Young Woo - the male lead of the movie Head Over Heels (Female chart) increased 5 ranks compared to June to take the top spot in July. The brand reputation index that the male star born in 1999 achieved was 7,694,868.
Since the end of 2024, Choo Young Woo's name has continuously covered the works "The Legend of Lady Ok", " trauma care center", "Khong Duong" and "Nguu dien nu". In each project, the actor gradually showed progress in acting, making efforts to transform into different images.
Thanks to his coverage and good acting skills, Choo Young Woo has continuously won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang and Blue Dragon Series awards. However, few people know that when he first entered the profession, the Korean star was involved in many compliments and criticisms. He is praised for his advantage in appearance, but his acting is only at the "usually average" level.
Faced with mixed opinions about himself, Choo Young Woo frankly faced: People often comment on me like: He looks mature but in reality he is just a child, or He seems good at acting but full of shortcomings.
Strangely, I don't care about these comments. In a way, that means I have a vague attraction that others don't have. I hope people will continue to follow me affectionately until my appeal becomes more obvious.
Along with Choo Young Woo, the top 5 on the July actor brand rankings have 3 actors from Squid Game 3, Lee Jung Jae, ranked 2nd with a brand reputation index of 7,050,788, Lee Byung Hun, ranked 3rd with an index of 6,578,206 and Jo Yuri, ranked 5th with a score of 4,322,075.
