Phuong Dong Communal House in Hai Phuc Commune, Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province is the place to worship Saint Trieu Vu Viet Vuong, in the ancient Ha Lan Village, now Hai Phuc Commune.
Today, the famous Phuong Dong communal house with the heritage banyan tree (also known as the Da Phuong Dong tree) has existed for hundreds of years and is still green, embracing the shade of the entire relic site. In 2016, the ancient banyan tree was recognized as a heritage tree of Vietnam.

According to the village elders, during the resistance war against French colonialism, the Phuong Dong banyan tree was a commune tourist area for reconnaissance hutts, observation posts, and public works tunnel for people to take shelter, helping our army and people promptly respond to the enemy. In particular, it is also a place to place marble for fishermen's boats to enter and exit the channel.
Standing towering on the ancient communal house, the hundred -year -old banyan heritage tree is luxuriant leaves, about 40 - 45m high; Tree spread about 40m wide. The tree has a standing shape, in addition to the main trunk, there are hundreds of father -in -law created from the roots of the tree. Many of the roots intertwined look like a cave.
