On the morning of April 26, a particularly serious traffic accident occurred on route N2, through Kenh Giua hamlet, Nhon Ninh commune, Tan Thanh district, Long An province, killing 2 people and seriously injuring 2 others.
According to initial information from the authorities, the accident occurred at 7:00 a.m. at Km 86+200 on National Highway N2. The garbage truck with license plate 62C-024.47 (driver's identity unknown) collided with two motorbikes with license plates 66-CA 051.70 and 59-Y3 766.39. The identities of the victims on the two motorbikes have not yet been determined.
The collision caused 2 people to die on the spot, 2 others were seriously injured and taken to Tan Thanh District Hospital for emergency treatment, some in critical condition.
At the scene, the 2 motorbikes were severely damaged and thrown off the roadside. The truck was also overturned and thrown off the road.
Immediately after the incident, Tan Thanh District authorities were present at the scene to handle, regulate traffic and conduct a crime scene investigation, collecting information to serve the investigation.
The cause of the accident and the identities of the victims are being further verified and clarified.
