After more than 20 days of official release and earning more than 157 billion VND, the movie "Tunnel: Sun in the dark" is about to have a new version at the cinema. This is a production by director Bui Thac Chuyen dedicated to the April 30th festival. The new film version is expected to completely replace the old version before April 30.
Director Bui Thac Chuyen and investors decided to release a special version of "The Geography: Sun in the dark" as a way to respond to the sincere feedback and contributions from the audience since the film was released.
The crew representative shared: This new version is a special and sincere thank you from the director and investors to all audiences across the country who have loved and supported the movie Geography: Sun in the dark over the past time.
The new version is 125 minutes long (the old version is 120 minutes long), with changes and additions to everyday slides, new details about soldiers on the campaign, life in the underground.
In addition, there are adjustments to some details to clarify some of the audience's concerns, helping the film progress more smoothly. From there, the story of war can be told again in a simple, emotional but also clear, concise and familiar way.
The movie "Tunnels: The sun in the dark" re -enacted the resilient people's war, the intellect of the Southern people under the tunnel of the years of resistance. The new version will still retain the true spirit, inherent art, but add emotional depth with everyday and close details.
The film is part of a series of practical activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The work is evaluated to realize the tense battle, resilient fighting to maintain the battlefield, the silent sacrifices and indomitable spirit of Cu Chi guerrilla, the Kien Trung revolutionary base during the resistance war against the US to save the country. The film gives viewers the solution to the meaning of the phrase "Cu Chi - Heroic Steel Land".
