Over many generations, the classes of Vietnamese residents in the Southern journey have intertwined and continued with indigenous culture, contributing to the formation of a unique Quang cultural identity. Those values are invaluable heritages inherited by us, and are also important resources contributing to building a united, harmonious and sustainable Da Nang.
"The mountainous area of the city is a long-standing place of residence for the Co Tu, So Dang, Gie - Trieng, and Cor ethnic groups. The people still preserve many typical traditional cultural features, expressed through material and spiritual life such as: farming methods, stilt house architecture, brocade weaving, weaving, culinary culture, customs, beliefs and festivals...
Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in particular and national cultural heritage in general is especially important in the current period of integration and development," said Mr. Thien.
