According to a private source of reporters, on the morning of August 19, the professional unit completed the survey and appraisal of the price of house No. 5 Doan Thi Diem (Cau Kieu ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and the car in the name of late NSUT Vu Linh.
The working process took place on time and at the location announced by the court. Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan and Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung (Hong Phuong's biological mother) and related people all complied with the request, coordinated with functional agencies and appraisal units.
Throughout the property survey process, there were no arguments, clashes or acts of resistance between the parties. The inspection of the current status of the house and the car was carried out in order.
Previously, on August 11, the Appellate Court of the Supreme People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City issued Notice No. 1688/TB-TPT on conducting surveys and valuation of assets in the case "Dispute over property inheritance, requesting the cancellation of individual decisions and demanding houses for lodging" between the plaintiff, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung, and the defendant, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan.
According to the announcement, the survey was conducted at 9 am on August 19 at house number 5 Doan Thi Diem. Ms. Hong Loan is responsible for bringing the blue Toyota car, license plate 52N-1798, in the name of Mr. Vo Van Ngoan - the real name of late NSUT Vu Linh - to the above location, and at the same time supporting the professional unit to survey the house and vehicles.
The parties are also requested to coordinate and provide information, images, legal documents and related documents for Saigon Valuation Co., Ltd. to perform its tasks according to regulations.
This activity is carried out based on Decision No. 1514/2026/QD-TCTĐG dated July 30, 2026 of the Appellate Court of the Supreme People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City requesting asset valuation.
Up to now, the survey has been completed, but the results of determining the specific value of the house and the car have not been announced. The report of the appraisal unit will be transferred to the court, as a basis for consideration in the process of resolving the case at the appellate level.
Previously, in the first-instance judgment on January 7, 2025, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City determined that Ms. Hong Loan was the legal adopted daughter of the late artist, belonging to the first line of inheritance and entitled to 85% of the inheritance value. Ms. Hong Nhung received 15% due to her efforts in taking care of her family and the late artist when she was alive.
After the first-instance judgment, Ms. Hong Loan, Ms. Hong Nhung and related people with rights and obligations appealed. The case was brought to appellate trial many times but had to be postponed for various reasons.
