The Organizing Committee of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) has just announced the list of entries and the judging panel in two main categories. Many prestigious names of Asian and world cinema will participate in judging at the event taking place in Da Nang.

According to the announcement, the Asian Film category has 13 works competing. The Chairman of the Jury is Director Do Ky Phong (Johnnie To) - Hong Kong (China).
Accompanying him are director Pham Thien An (Vietnam); Julien Rejl (France), Art Director of the Directors' Week Program at the Cannes Film Festival; Seonah Kim (Korea), President of Women in Film Korea; Kaity Nguyen (Vietnam), actress, producer.
The list of 13 Asian films participating in the competition includes: Chiếc kén (Chrysalis); Cứu rỗi (Salvation); Dữ dội (Raging); Gangster hoàn lương (Bluefish); Giữa tro tàn sự sống; Hiện tượng siêu nhiên (Para. Doc); Lali; Lặng câm (Numb); Một bữa no (Full Plate); Nguồn nhân lực (Human Resource); Quán Kỳ Nam (Ky Nam Inn); Tình thân xa lạ (We Are All Stranger); Xe nghèo (Poor Taxi).
In the Vietnamese Film category, the Jury is chaired by Jérôme Baron (France), Art Director of the Nantes International Film Festival of 3 continents. The members include director Edwin (Indonesia); People's Artist Tran Luc (Vietnam); screenwriter Trinh Thanh Nha (Vietnam); director Nguyen Quang Dung (Vietnam).
11 Vietnamese films participating in this year's race include: Anh Hung, Bay Tien, Cuc Vang Cua Ngoai, Mang Me Di Bo, Mua Do, Nha Ba Toi mot phong, Oc muon hon, Phi Phong: Quy mau rung thieng, Tai, Truy tim long dien huong and Tu chien tren khong.

In addition to the competition categories, DANAFF IV also introduced the American Film Focus program with 13 classic and outstanding works of American cinema such as Casablanca, City Lights, 12 Angry Men, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Godfather, Saving Private Ryan, Nomadland and Hacksaw Ridge.
The gathering of many leading filmmakers, critics and film experts is expected to contribute to raising professional quality, while affirming DANAFF's growing position in Asia.
