Accordingly, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) is promised to expand its organizational scale, influence, and spread. Within the framework of the film festival, many diverse new programs are organized while strengthening professional activities, training, connecting and developing cinema between filmmakers from many countries.
Da Nang Asian Film Festival opens on June 28 and closes on the evening of July 4, 2026. The opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast live on national television and retransmitted on several platforms.
DANAFF IV continues to aim to honor outstanding cinematic works, rich in human values, with creative exploration in the language of art, encouraging and fostering talents, and at the same time widely introducing to the public typical works of Vietnamese cinema, Asia and the world.

Sharing at the announcement of the organization of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Mr. Jérémy Segay - advisor of the film festival shared, "This will be a great opportunity to connect Vietnamese cinema with the world. A series of programs on connecting the film industry will take place in 2 days.
Among them, there are 10 Vietnamese film producers who need to introduce Vietnamese films, want to sell films, and bring films to the world will have a meeting and connection with about 22 companies from all over the country. These 22 companies are aiming for Vietnamese films and are ready to buy Vietnamese films for wide screening and distribution to international markets. Representatives of the 22 companies will soon be present in Da Nang and are very excited about the series of activities at the upcoming Da Nang Asian Film Festival.
The series of programs within the framework of DANAFF IV is assessed as diverse and rich, promoting professionalism, learning and expanding opportunities for exchange and learning between filmmakers.
There are 13 film works participating in the competition in the "Asian Film Competition" program. These 13 films come from Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand; Japan; Korea; China...
The series of works is evaluated as diverse in topics, culture and social context. Each work carries its own cinematic voices, reflecting stories about the land, culture, and people with different perspectives.
The "Vietnamese Film Contest" program has 11 works, these films are mostly familiar to Vietnamese audiences in the past year such as Truy tim Long Dien Huong, Anh Hung, Bay tien, Mang me di bo, Mua do, Nha ba toi mot phong, Oc muon hon, Phi phong: Quy mau rung thieng, Tai...

Besides the fierce and dramatic competitions, there are also free film screenings and film promotion programs of many Asian cinemas such as: Panorama of Asian Cinema (21 films), Vietnamese Film Today (28 films)...
In particular, the film program "The Face of Vietnamese Cinema 40 Years of Doi Moi" introduces 17 outstanding works of Vietnamese cinema spanning from 1986 to 2026.
Many works have become classics revolving around life, human fate and the changes and transformations of the era and Vietnamese society when entering the Doi Moi period.
Notable works include: Quiet Town, Bitter Taste of Love, Girl Dancing, Sky Net, Desolate Valley, Buffalo Boy, Drifting, Endless Field... 17 works selected over the past 40 years will bring to audiences and international guests about the development journey of Vietnamese cinema from many perspectives: creative thinking, cinematic language, realistic approach as well as changes in filmmaking style through each period.

Sharing about the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion Association, Director of the Film Festival expressed that she was moved when she had a long journey from the beginning, experiencing countless difficulties, until DANAFF was organized for the 4th time.
According to Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, the most difficult thing when implementing, nurturing and developing the brand of an international-scale film festival is "creating a unique identity for the film festival, so that the Da Nang Asian Film Festival always has its own recognition, influence, and very unique spread among hundreds of Asian regional film festivals".
