Bright Spring" (The early spring) is one of the most interested Chinese romance movies at the moment.
The film has a fairly familiar plot: office love, boss loves employees, breakup and then the male lead returns to pursue the female lead. These motifs are no longer unfamiliar to audiences.
When it first aired, the film was criticized as "virtual" and caused controversy about love views, but now the film's appeal is increasing strongly, even entering the Netflix global chart.
What really attracts the audience is probably not entirely in the script, but in the harmony between Tỉnh Bách Nhiên and Tôn Thiên.
Previously, Ton Thien had collaborated with Tran Phi Vu in "Love in the Pure Era". She was praised for acting naturally and contributing to improving her co-star's image. However, in real life, the two are quite distant and rarely interact intimately.
With Bach Nhien Province, it's different. In promotional activities, the two constantly show harmony, talking naturally like long-time friends. One person comes from Shenyang, the other from Harbin, both are people from the Northeast (China), so they easily chat in their local accents and catch up with each other.
This harmony did not appear from the beginning. Ton Thien revealed that this is the movie she performed the most kissing scenes in. Tinh Bach Nhien also admitted that at first the two were very shy, even not catching up with each other.
The film crew also invited consultants to guide how to express the tug-of-war and intimacy in love scenes. Tỉnh Bách Nhiên once humorously said that acting in this film feels like being "stripped clean", making the audience laugh.
After the filming process, the two gradually became more comfortable. Tinh Bach Nhien commented that the first scenes were just "performance scenes", and later it really felt like a "kiss scene".

A detail in the press conference also made the couple praised. When the audience asked Tinh Bach Nhien to hug Ton Thien, he did not immediately act but first looked at her to confirm. Only after Ton Thien nodded, did he hug.
When the audience continued to ask the male actor to turn his co-star around or recreate the kissing scene, he still maintained the habit of looking to ask Ton Thien's opinion first.
This small action is considered precious at a time when many movies deliberately "mix couples" to promote. It is not a kind of arranged sweetness but respect and awareness of the boundaries between actors.
In addition to the harmony, the appearance and discipline of the two actors also contribute to creating attraction for the film. Tinh Bach Nhien at the age of 37 has a toned figure, suitable for the image of Loan Niem - an advertising company director who is both successful and seductive. When wearing suits, he exudes masculinity and the aura of a leader.
Ton Thien also attracts attention with her height of 1m72 and balanced figure. In the movie, she often wears flat shoes, boots, short skirts or elegant suits, representing the image of a young, independent office woman.
Although the love content is considered old, "Bright Spring" still incorporates many practical issues in the office such as keeping distance from colleagues, protecting oneself when drinking alcohol, handling work that is not under responsibility, ensuring safety when on business trips or responding to harassment from superiors.
The interesting point is that after the movie, Tỉnh Bách Nhiên also brought Tôn Thiên into the group of close friends. He and Bạch Kính Đình and Tôn Thiên often interact on Weibo, creating a feeling like a real group of friends in real life.
