In the late afternoon of February 19, Tuyen Binh Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that functional forces and people are mobilizing more than 100 people to organize the search for missing victims in the boat capsizing on the Gianh River.
Participating in the search were Tuyen Binh Commune Police, Tuyen Hoa Commune Police, Quang Tri Provincial Police and a large number of local people. Teams and groups were arranged to search along the Gianh River, focusing on the area where the incident occurred.
According to initial information, the boat that encountered the accident was a small boat of a local, with a motor attached, and unfortunately capsized while moving on the river.
The search is being expanded. However, the area where the boat capsized has a deep water level and complex flow, causing many difficulties for rescue operations.
Currently, functional forces continue to closely coordinate and deploy plans to soon find the missing victims on the Gianh River.
