Held on July 5 (Korean time) at the main stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex, the "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR" performance marked the group's long-awaited return to fans as a full group. Tickets were sold out immediately, with fans from all over the world eager to attend.
However, the excitement has decreased for some attendees, especially those sitting in the N3 area. A large screen in the center completely obscured their vision of the stage. However, these seats are sold as tickets to the common entrance (Area B) for 132,000 won - about 98 USD - not seats with limited visibility.
A fan wrote on social media platform X: I cant see anything. Not only a limited vision but an empty vision".
Another added: It is unreasonable for these chairs not even to be marked as having limited visibility. I paid the full price and could not see any fireworks, drones or stage. I only see the top of the screen, almost nothing.
A nearby presence commented: "The organizers cannot charge us more tickets than chairs with limited visibility, but let us see the whole view blocked."
Photos from the venue, widely shared online, show the N3 chairs with a giant screen placed right in front of them. The situation has sparked online reaction, with fans urging others to file complaints with consumer protection agencies and consider legal action.
According to the Korea Fair Trade Commission, if the poor vision is due to an event organizer's mistake, consumers have the right to a full refund and an additional 10% compensation.
The Korean Consumer Protection Agency has previously ruled that organizers must refund money to ticket holders when VIP seats are downgraded due to obstructing visibility.
