On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG's debut, 3 members Daesung, G-Dragon and Taeyang appeared together on the entertainment program "Zip Daesung".
While sitting in the car moving to the campsite, Daesung recalled: "Sitting in this chair reminds me of many things. It feels like the days when we went to events. Back then it was when the song Lie (in 2007) was just released".
G-Dragon continued: "We have experienced moments of being hanging by a thread many times. Back then, how could we do that...". The short silence after that sentence seemed to evoke stories that only 3 members knew.
After that, Daesung said humorously: "Even once we missed the train just because we wanted to eat a pink smoothie". But G-Dragon immediately refuted: "That's definitely your fault. I don't like pink smoothies so much," making everyone laugh.
Daesung added: "We finally caught up with the train by car.
For G-Dragon, the car has a very special meaning: "I do a lot of things in the car. The car is almost my home. Every time I step into the car, all the thoughts in my head are rearranged.
Hearing that, Daesung also revealed: "For me, the bathroom is the same. I often think about album titles or things like that when I'm showering.
G-Dragon immediately joked: "I heard you turned all the rooms in the house, except the bedroom for sleeping, into bathrooms, didn't you think?".
After that, BIGBANG members both ate and chatted on many topics. Daesung recalled that Sandara Park of 2NE1 once appeared in the program and said that G-Dragon caught a male idol visiting her in the dormitory.
G-Dragon joked: "If I just open my mouth, you'll know how to handle it, okay?", then shared. "Actually, I didn't witness it completely. But I knew the story from the other man. According to my memory, maybe I was the one who introduced them to each other. I often play the role of'matchmaker'".
G-Dragon further explained that Sandara Park misunderstood that he told that story everywhere. But in fact, he did not even tell the BIGBANG members.
Taeyang also spoke up to defend G-Dragon in a humorous way: "Ji Yong never fabricates untrue stories. It's just that true stories are often exaggerated by him.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG has reappeared in the music race after 4 years with the MV "BiiiG" released on the afternoon of August 19.
“BiiiG” belongs to the energetic hip-hop genre, highlighted by its majestic, powerful beat background and sophisticatedly coordinated sound layers.
G-Dragon, leader of BIGBANG, is in charge of lyrics and composition. Taeyang's rich rhythmic voice combined with Daesung's powerful voice creates a distinctive harmony.
The members also directly participate from music production to image orientation and overall ideation, thereby clearly showing the identity of BIGBANG.
Besides the new song, BIGBANG is also implementing a large-scale project to celebrate its 20th anniversary of operation. Currently, the Jamsil area in Seoul (Korea) is hosting commemorative promotional activities, including a media exhibition and a lighting program at Seokchon Lake.
After that, BIGBANG will kick off the global tour "XX: COSMOS" 2026-2027, with the first nights from August 21-23, in Goyang, Gyeonggi province (Korea).
The group plans to organize a total of 33 performances in 19 cities around the world, spanning from North America, Europe to Asia.
