On May 3, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee approved the policy of renovating and repairing the infrastructure of the Twin Tower relic site to create a landscape for the tourist destination in Quy Nhon ward, serving the work of hosting the 2026 National Tourism Year.
Doi Tower (also known as Hung Thanh Tower) is located in the center of Quy Nhon, is a unique ancient architectural work of the ancient Cham people, with great historical, cultural and artistic value.
Today, Doi Tower is a famous tourist destination, attracting a large number of tourists to visit, admire architecture, learn about culture, history and take souvenir photos. Therefore, planning and investment are necessary to make this place a unique and valuable destination of Quy Nhon.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Construction, Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee, Provincial Museum and related units to study and propose investment plans to upgrade the lighting system of the relic site.
The implementation must ensure technical, aesthetic, safety, and energy saving requirements; highlight the architectural value of Twin Towers at night to serve visitors. Absolutely do not encroach or interfere with the tower structure.
Additionally plant green trees, lawns, ornamental flowers and suitable landscape items; prioritize using trees associated with Champa culture, harmonizing with the relic space, creating green - clean - beautiful highlights.
Planning and redesigning the entire ground of the relic site, ensuring architectural landscape and aesthetics. Deploying the renovation and repair of the infrastructure of the Twin Tower relic site, renovating the system of fences, parking lots and related items to create an open space. Using honeycomb stone materials or suitable types, ensuring architectural synchronization, sustainability and harmony with the overall relic.
Research and propose reasonable ticket prices and sightseeing services at the Twin Towers relic site. The contents of embellishment and investment must strictly comply with regulations on cultural heritage and planning; absolutely do not affect the original elements constituting the relic. In case violations occur, the responsibility of the head will be considered.
