Besides, we cannot fail to mention Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien. He is not only a professional opera performer but also an educator, a researcher of opera art, and the person who built many textbooks currently being used at the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music".
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong also mentioned a cast of experienced artists teaching at the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music such as Meritorious Artist Thanh Nhan, singer Anh Tho, Le Anh Dung... Singer Trong Tan is not tenured, but still occasionally participates in teaching at the Academy.
The Vocal Music Department is one of the best training majors for admissions at the Academy, because this is an art subject that is easily accessible to the masses. It is both academic but has the ability to be popularized. The training time of a student of the Vocal Music Department is always shorter than training in musical instruments. Many students study for about 4 years of intermediate level and are already famous," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong shared.

Singer Anh Tho, in addition to singing, is also a vocal lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She has taught and trained many generations of students and singers for decades.
Anh Tho is also a person who strives and makes efforts in teaching expertise. Since 2005, she has studied for a master's degree, and in 2022 successfully defended her doctoral thesis in musicology.
Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan received the title of Associate Professor of Art in 2026. Currently, the female singer is the head of the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Tan Nhan recounted that to realize her dream, she devoted her whole youth to studying.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong was born in 1974, the son of the late musician Huy Du and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhung - one of the pioneering female musicians of Vietnam in the field of symphonic composition.
Oriented to the path of music from a young age, he started learning piano at the age of 6. After 14 years of studying at the Gnesin Academy of Music (Russia), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong successively completed intermediate, university, Master of Performing Piano and Doctor of Musicology programs, all achieving excellent results.
Returning to Vietnam in 2003, he worked at the Piano Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, participating in teaching and training many generations of young artists.
From July 7, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong was appointed to the position of Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
