One day of flooding, seeing everything submerged in water, I realized the saying of Confucius: "A gentleman is like water". People say the most brutal torture is with water, when dripping drop by drop onto the body of the criminal, at first it feels gentle but later, each drop of water is no different from a drop of acid.
Water also has its own spirit and soul. I remember the famous book translated into Vietnamese with the title “The Secret of Water” by Masura Emoto, a journey to discover the power and beauty of water crystals associated with positive and negative human emotions. For example, when you love water drops and put that love into photos of water crystals, they are beautiful and like a crown, but when you hate water and curse it, the photos of water crystals are just distorted, shapeless.
The author wrote: “Water has a secret life. It shows us how to find happiness. It reveals the meaning of love for nature. It shows us the path that humanity has traveled to answer the questions that have always troubled us.”
It sounds strange, but he, an old painter who has experienced many ups and downs in life, has been tossed around by the waves of life, but he understands that very well. He attended a meditation course on the mountain to learn how to regulate emotions and avoid anger. The day before, a young man had cut in front of his car and turned around to curse him with a very vulgar word. He just smiled, surprising his friend. He said he was following the teachings of the Zen master, anything someone sends to you that you do not receive will return to the sender.
