The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong province has just issued a warning about the situation of forging the organization of the 16th International painting Competition in 2025 with the theme " Let's protect the environment sustainably together" to commit fraud in cyberspace.
Recently, on social networks, there has been a lot of information about launching a contest under the name of a coordination between KAO Group and the Department of Fine Arts, photography and Exhibition. Some fanpages impersonating individuals claiming to be representatives of the Organizing Committee have sent invitations and announcements of winning prizes via email or social media messages. Fraudulent tricks include: requesting to download strange applications, providing personal information, bank accounts, or transferring fees in violation of regulations.
Through verification, this is fake information. The Department of Fine Arts, photography and Exhibition affirmed that it will not coordinate to organize the above contest with any unit other than the cultural sector. All information being spread on digital platforms is unofficial, fraudulent, affecting the reputation of state management agencies and causing damage to parents and students.
Currently, the Department is only organizing the National Children's Art Competition and Exhibition in 2025, receiving works directly at 38 Cao Ba Quat (Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi City). Do not accept online tests or through any intermediary application. The exam period lasts until July 15.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that press agencies, localities and schools increase propaganda and warnings widely on mass media, grassroots communication systems, social networks... to raise vigilance, prevent the risk of fraud and property appropriation in cyberspace.
