At the festival, there are many cultural and sports activities imbued with national cultural identity such as tug of war, crossbow shooting, bamboo-stick fighting, top-spinning, throwing con, walking on stilts, weaving competition, culinary exhibition competition, cultural camp, cake making demonstration, bamboo-tube rice, wine burning, hand-woven weaving, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (a tourist from Hanoi) shared that coming to the Tan Lac district cultural festival, we enjoyed cultural performances imbued with the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group, delicious dishes and many attractive games. Hopefully this activity will be held annually to attract a large number of tourists to Tan Lac in particular and Hoa Binh province in general.
According to Ms. Bui Minh Hong, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Tan Lac district, the festival is organized to introduce and promote unique cultural values, while stimulating and attracting tourists to the locality. At the same time, promoting communication about culture and scenic spots in the district.
The festival will include many rich activities, starting with the opening program and seven outstanding competitions such as cultural camp activities introducing cultural products, tourism, agricultural products, and traditional production and living items of people in highland communes.
The cultural camp model will recreate the cultural space and daily life of the Muong ethnic group.
“In addition, culinary competitions and Muong ethnic costume shows will also take place, with the participation of male and female couples. Traditional sports such as tug of war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting will be held, along with Muong singing competitions between groups and clubs.
In addition, traditional weaving competitions such as weaving chicken cages, pots and baskets and folk games create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for the Festival. The event is not only an opportunity to promote cultural values, but also contributes to the development of tourism in Tan Lac district in the future" - Ms. Hong informed.
Also within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council announced the Decision to recognize Vietnam Heritage Trees for 3 ancient lychee trees in Chien hamlet, Van Son commune.
