IDECAF Drama Theater staged two plays, “Liang Shanbo - Zhu Yingtai’s Extra Story” and “What’s Happy, We Prioritize” (the remaining plays include “Tam Cam Dai Chien”, “Golden Fortune”, “12 Midwives”, etc., which are all old plays of the year) to serve the audience throughout Tet. Up to now, on February 6 (the 9th day of Tet), the plays are still open to serve the audience.
2 plays with completely different colors, 1 historical comedy and 1 hometown story but both bring a lot of laughter to the audience.
Thanh Nien Theater staged a new play for the audience, "Tung Hoan Pattaya". The rest are old but still popular plays: Lost in Bangkok, Monster Congress - 7 Spider Demons, Thanh Xa - Bach Xa: A Thousand Years of Dreaming, Dai Minh Tinh... are still performed regularly.
This year's Cai Luong stage on Tet holiday is highlighted by the dominance of Cai Luong classical drama, with: Tu Hy Lam Mon of Thien Long stage (6th day), Nhi Ho Diep Hiep Nhat Hoa of Dong Au Bach Long stage (8th day), Mai Trang Se Duyen of Cai Luong classical drama troupe Huynh Long (8th and 9th days), Van Vo Ky Duyen of Chi Linh - Van Ha stage (11th day of Tet). The remaining two Cai Luong plays on the revolutionary theme Tieng Ho Song Hau (9th day) and social commentary Doi Co Luu (10th day) staged by Cai Luong theater Tran Huu Trang.
Hong Van Drama Stage has 3 plays: Silent Room, Butterfly Soul and Mysterious Five Elements, which are new productions, invested in and upgraded compared to before. Notably, there is the return of actress Lam Vy Da to the Tet stage after many years. Besides Lam Vy Da, Hong Van Stage also attracts attention with the participation of Meritorious Artist Oc Thanh Van.
Attract audiences because of its own highlights
Sharing with reporters, stage representatives such as Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi of Truong Hung Minh stage and People's Artist My Uyen of small stage 5B said that although there are not many Tet plays this year, the number of audiences coming to watch is higher than last year's Tet.
Most stages perform two shows a day from the 1st to the 10th, especially stage 5B which performs three shows a day.
People's Artist My Uyen said this year the audience welcomed the play more, the number of audiences buying tickets to see the play also increased sharply.
Not only the small stage 5B, IDECAF Stage, The Gioi Tre, Hong Van, Thien Dang all won big because the audience welcomed their plays.
The reason why audiences this year welcomed Tet plays is because the stages have taken more correct and innovative directions.
Hong Van Stage attracted attention when choosing horror plays through the plays: Ghost Wife, Silent Room.This is also a special feature of Tet plays here.People's Artist Hong Van said that the number of tickets sold for horror plays is not less than comedy plays.
If other stages are mainly about laughter during Tet, Hoang Thai Thanh Stage makes the audience emotional with its plays.The play "Short and Long Hair" was also widely received and supported by the audience because of its touching and meaningful story.
Stage 5B Drama Theatre is the only unit that performs both children's and adult plays during this Tet holiday. In particular, the children's play "The Magic Pen" is imbued with Southern folklore, combining many folk melodies and Cai Luong, also having a different color compared to previous children's plays at Stage 5B.
Truong Hung Minh Stage has two plays with different colors: "Cau dua du se" and "Chan dong tam gioi".
Thien Dang Stage has a new play called "13 Duc Thay - Duc Thay 13" with strong folk cultural colors, with many unique folk and contemporary dances, bringing a very unique color in this Tet performance season.
Thus, this Tet season, the stages all have their own colors to conquer the audience.
