Government approves license of Sun PhuQuoc Airways airline

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just given instructions on granting an air transport business license to Phu Quoc Sun Airlines Company Limited.

Accordingly, in document No. 670/TTg-CN, dated June 11, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Construction on allowing the Ministry of Construction to grant an aviation transport business license to Phu Quoc Sun Aerospace Company Limited.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction to be responsible for the content of reporting and proposing, implementing the issuance of an Air Transport Business License in accordance with regulations; responsible for managing and ensuring safe and effective civil aviation operations.

Previously, the Prime Minister issued Decision 979/QD-TTg dated May 20, 2025 on approving the investment policy and approving the investor of the Sun PhuQuoc Airways Airlines Project.

According to the Decision, the investor implementing the project is Phu Quoc Sun Aviation Company Limited.

According to the approved policy, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will have a total fleet of 31 aircraft by 2030. The total investment capital of the project is VND 2,500 billion (equivalent to about 98.81 million USD).
