On the morning of November 19, Ho Chi Minh City People's Court opened a first-instance trial of Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and her accomplices in the case of "Fraudulent customers" related to Kera candy products.
The trial attracted public attention when it marked 6 months since Thuy Tien was temporarily detained and faced a series of legal consequences and titles.
In the past half year, the Fanpages and personal pages of Thuy Tien - Miss Grand International 2021 have all been private. After being prosecuted, Thuy Tien proactively influenced the family to pay money to remedy the consequences.
According to the records, her biological father paid about 3.2 billion VND - the highest among the defendants in the case. This is one of the details that helped Thuy Tien be considered for a reduction in criminal liability.
However, in addition to paying the compensation, Thuy Tien's reputation has also been significantly affected. In May 2025, just one day after being temporarily detained, the Central Youth Union issued a decision to revoke the title of "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2021" awarded to her in 2022.
This decision is based on the regulations on handling people who are honored but have serious violations within 5 years from the date of receipt of the award.

The stripping of her title has severely affected the artistic process and positive image that Thuy Tien has previously built. Before getting involved in a case related to Kera candy products, Thuy Tien belonged to a group of young artists with great influence, participated in many charity activities and was the face chosen by many brands.
After 6 months of being entangled in the legal battle, all of her activities have been stalled, and she is also facing the risk of being considered for other international titles - including the title of Miss Grand International 2021.
In the Kera candy case, the indictment determined that Thuy Tien and the defendants had promoted the untruth about the ingredients and uses of the product, causing more than 56,000 customers to buy a total of 129,617 boxes, earning a revenue of 17.5 billion VND and the group illegally profited more than 12.4 billion VND. Thuy Tien's initial profit rate was 25%, then increased to 30%.
After 6 months of detention, on the morning of November 19, Thuy Tien was officially revealed at the first instance trial at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court.
When being giaized, the beauty quickly entered the trial. The image of her went viral on social media, many viewers commented that Thuy Tien looked much thinner than before.
