On the morning of November 27, the People's Committee of Da Nang City presented flowers and a certificate of merit to Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy. At the meeting, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said: "Currently, Da Nang City is implementing many policies to develop the city. In which, we attach great importance to training high-quality human resources and tourism is one of the key areas. Therefore, I hope that Miss Thanh Thuy will pay attention and show affection for our city, especially consider participating as the Tourism Ambassador of Da Nang City."
According to Mr. Chinh, this will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of Da Nang City's tourism industry. On this occasion, Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy also expressed her joy and pride when receiving congratulations and a certificate of merit from the Da Nang City People's Committee.
"When I come to the contests, I am always active and try to spread the image of Da Nang City. Today, receiving the commendation, I am even more aware that I need to do something to further spread the image of the country in general and Da Nang City in particular. And today, I am also very honored to have the opportunity to be the Tourism Ambassador of Da Nang City", Miss Thanh Thuy shared.
In the upcoming journey, Miss Thanh Thuy said she will do her best to promote the image of the country, Vietnamese people as well as the beauty of Da Nang people to friends nationwide and internationally.
Also on the morning of November 27, Miss International Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy had an exchange session at the University of Foreign Languages - Danang University.
Here, the University of Foreign Languages honored and rewarded Miss Thanh Thuy, presented the commendation decisions and certificates of merit from the Director of Danang University and the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages.
In particular, the University of Foreign Languages also awarded the beauty a full scholarship for the master's program in English at the school. Sharing at the program, the beauty queen said that after finishing university, she will continue to study for a master's degree at the school: "I feel very proud to be warmly welcomed when returning to the school, proud to be a daughter of Da Nang. In the past time, I have always promoted and introduced my city to domestic and international friends. Besides, I will continue to complete my university program and will study for a master's program in the near future."
Previously, in 2022, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy succeeded Do Thi Ha to become Miss Vietnam. During her journey to participate in the Miss Vietnam contest so far, Thanh Thuy has left a good impression with her efforts, she continued to study at the University of Foreign Languages - University of Danang.
On November 12, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024, the first Miss Vietnam to be sent to the Miss International arena. She is also the first Vietnamese beauty in history to be crowned Miss International.
Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was born in 2002, 1.76m tall. Last November, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was the first Vietnamese beauty to be crowned Miss International. Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, the beauty from Da Nang also won the title of Miss University of Foreign Languages under Da Nang University, 1st runner-up in the 2021 Da Nang City Elegant Student Contest.
