On the evening of July 31, the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don (1726-2026) took place at the Le Quy Don Cultural Figure Memorial Area, Le Quy Don commune, Hung Yen province, with the participation of about 30,000 delegates, people and tourists.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, ministries, departments, branches and localities.
The program includes the Ceremony to celebrate, announce and award UNESCO's Resolution honoring Cultural Figure Le Quy Don, and a special art program "Radiant Vietnamese Civilization", recreating the life, career and contributions of the scientist to national history and culture.

Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc emphasized that Cultural Figure Le Quy Don has left behind a massive heritage in many fields such as history, geography, philosophy, literature, education, economy, agriculture, literature and diplomacy.
To make the 300th anniversary of the birth of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don a driving force to promote heritage, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities and Hung Yen province to focus on implementing 5 key tasks.

In which, continue systematic research on the life, ideology and heritage of Le Quy Don; promote the collection, translation, publication, digitization of works and build a unified database to serve research, education and promotion.
Along with that, bringing Le Quy Don's ideological values closer to the younger generation through educational and experiential activities, contributing to arousing the spirit of lifelong learning, independent thinking and aspiration to contribute; promoting the ideology of real learning, learning goes hand in hand with practice, and valuing talents.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also requested to preserve and promote sustainably the system of relics, documents and artifacts associated with cultural figure Le Quy Don; apply digital technology in display and promotion, linking preservation with traditional education and cultural tourism development.
On this occasion, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the companionship of UNESCO and the international community in preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural heritage; and affirmed that Vietnam will continue to be a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of UNESCO, joining hands to preserve and spread heritage values for peace, sustainable development and the richness of human civilization.

Before the anniversary, many activities took place such as national-level scientific conferences, contests to learn about Le Quy Don's life and career, exhibitions, reading week and extracurricular programs for students.
According to the plan, next October, Hung Yen province will organize an exhibition about cultural figure Le Quy Don at UNESCO headquarters in France, and continue to implement solutions to preserve and promote his heritage values.
