On July 30, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Hung Yen province organized the national scientific conference "Cultural Figure Le Quy Don - Heritage and Value of the Era".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - affirmed that UNESCO's adoption of the Resolution to jointly participate in the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don is not only the pride of Vietnam but also the recognition of the international community for a cultural figure, a scientist with contributions beyond the national scope, becoming a part of the common knowledge treasure of humanity.

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that Le Quy Don was a peak of intelligence of Vietnam in the 18th century. With more than 40 sets of books in many fields such as history, geography, philosophy, literature, education, economy and diplomacy, he not only left behind a massive academic treasure but also built a serious scientific research method, promoting realism, evidence-based learning and linking knowledge with the practice of national governance.

Thoughts about valuing talent, developing education, developing the economy, and harmoniously combining virtue and rule of law still have a topical significance for the process of innovation, digital transformation and building a modern national governance.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Member of the Politburo, Minister of Foreign Affairs - assessed that the conference has completed the set goals, making practical contributions to the series of activities to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don and concretizing UNESCO's Resolution on joint participation in this event.

The presentations and exchanged opinions continue to affirm the ideological stature, scientific value and sustainable vitality of Le Quy Don's heritage.
According to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, the conference clarified 5 outstanding contents, including: affirming the comprehensive scientific value of Le Quy Don's heritage; clarifying the method of evidentiary research; deepening the ideology of national rule, national governance, the spirit of real learning and valuing talents; affirming the historical, scientific, and legal value of the works for research and protection of national sovereignty; and at the same time clarifying the meaning of Le Quy Don's heritage for the development of education, building a learning society and developing high-quality human resources.

Mr. Le Hoai Trung said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam National UNESCO Committee are expected to coordinate with Hung Yen province to organize an exhibition about cultural figure Le Quy Don at UNESCO headquarters in Paris (France) in October 2026.
At the same time, he requested ministries, branches, and localities to continue to collect, translate, and digitize Le Quy Don's works, bring heritage values into education, link preservation with cultural tourism development, and strengthen international cooperation to widely promote his heritage to the world academic community.
