On July 8, Korean time, all seats for ILLIT's "2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN" were sold out. The concert will take place 4 nights: August 10 and 11 at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa and September 3 and 4 at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka.
Notably, ILLIT has sold out concert tickets for fans in Japan even though they have yet to release an official Japanese album.
To meet the huge demand, Lawson Ticket will open for sale additional limited seating and standing tickets on July 9 at 8:00 p.m. (Japan time).
The event comes after the group sold out tickets for the Seoul show in the previous sale last month, held on July 7 and 8 at Olympic Park.
Interest in ILLIT across Japan has been reflected in recent mid-year rankings. Their first Japanese single Almond Chocolate, released in February, has surpassed 50 million streams on Oricon (as of July 7), becoming the most-streamed song by an international female artist released in the first half of 2025.
This song also became the only song by a K-pop group to be listed on Amazon Music Japan's Top 50 Mid-Autumn Festival Ranking.
In addition, ILLIT is the only K-pop artist to have two songs - "Magnetic" and "Almond Chocolate" - on the year-end chart of Billboard Japan and Rakuten Music.
Their latest mini- album, released on June 16, also achieved great popularity among Japanese fans. The product surpassed the previous album's first-week sales within just one day of release and quickly topped major album charts on both Oricon and Billboard Japan.
