Recently, the Kpop fan community has been buzzing with the news that The Black Label company, headed by producer Teddy, is about to launch a mixed music group for men and women.
The company confirmed the information but did not disclose any further information. The identities of the members of this group are becoming a hot topic of discussion on social networks.
On June 6, Ilgan Sports reported that music industry insiders confirmed that trainee Youngseo - a former member of ILLIT - will be in Teddy's new lineup.
Youngseo once attracted attention when he won second place overall in the idol selection program "RU Next?", co-produced by JTBC and Belift Lab (currently ILLIT's management company).
Youngseo was originally planned to debut as a member of ILLIT. But in January last year, it was announced that her exclusive contract had ended after discussions with the management company.
At that time, Belift Lab announced: After in-depth discussions about future activities, we and Youngseo have agreed to terminate the exclusive contract. Because this is a decision made carefully, we ask that people do not speculate or misunderstand.
Earlier this year, there were rumors that Youngseo had signed a contract to become a trainee at The Black Label - a company that is managing many artists such as Rose (Blackpink), Taeyang (Big Bang), Jeon Somi, Park Bo Gum and girl group MEOVV.
The Black Label has not confirmed but Youngseo is seen appearing near the headquarters of YG Entertainment - a company affiliated with The Black Label.
At the end of May, Youngseo was discovered filming an outdoor scene, sparking information that she was about to return. On June 5, fans discovered that Youngseo had opened a personal Instagram account.
These moves made the suspicion that Youngseo was about to debut in a new group even more certain.
In addition, rumors about the members of the mixed music group produced by Teddy have also spread.
Some of the names predicted to be introduced are famous faces.
First is Bailey Sok - a famous choreographer in the Kpop world. She has been a choreographer for many leading music groups and artists such as Red Velvet, aespa, Taeyang.
Second is Annie Moon (Moon Seo Yoon) - daughter of Chairman of Shinsegae Group, Chung Yoo Kyung. Her grandmother is Lee Myung Hee - the youngest daughter of Samsung founder Lee Byung Chul.
Last year, there were rumors that Bailey Sok and Annie Moon would debut in the MEOVV group because the photos at The Black Label trainee studio showed these two. But in the end, MEOVV debuted with a 5-member team of Ella, Sooin, Anna, Gawon, Narin.
The third face rumored to be model Lee Chae Won (known by his stage name tarzzan), he appeared in NewJeans' MV "Supernatural".
The name predicted to be in the final lineup is Woochan. He participated in Mnet's "Show Me The Money 6" and was once known as an expected member of the boy group Big Hit Music (BTS's management company) but in the end the group was not released.
