The rankings were compiled from September 18 to October 18, based on a big data analysis of 755 male idols working in the fields of music, media, communication and community. Factors such as consumer level, media coverage, interaction level, and community index are used to evaluate the brand value of each artist.
According to the announced results, Jimin (BTS) tops the list thanks to his strong interaction and high recognition on international social networks. The second place went to Jin (BTS), who has just completed his military service and had an impressive comeback. In third place is G-Dragon (Big Bang) - a fashion and music icon of K-pop, who still holds great influence even though he has not officially returned to the music race.
The next positions in the Top 10 belong to V (BTS), Jungkook (BTS), Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Wonbin (RIIZE), Cha Eun Woo (ASTRO) and Keonho (CORTIS). Veterans such as Key (SHINee), Baekhyun (EXO), Heechul (Super Junior) and RM (BTS) are also in the Top 30, showing the vibrant competition between idol generations.
Notably, the group RIIZE has up to four top members - Wonbin, Anton, Sungchan and Sohee, proving the strong appeal of the rookie group SM Entertainment.
BTS's many top spots continue to affirm the group's lasting influence in the Korean music industry, while G-Dragon is still a unique and irreplaceable icon of the second generation of idols.
