Climax" (tentatively translated: Climax) tells the story of Bang Tae Seob (Joo Ji Hoon) - an ambitious prosecutor, willing to embark on a criminal gang to rise to the peak of power in Korea.
According to the production team, Bang Tae Seob is the one who has to choose between survival and good and evil. In the story about who deserves to reach the top, he stands at the center - with full of danger.
The role attracted attention when marking Joo Ji Hoon's return after 2025 "covering" with the role of doctor Baek in the movie "Trauma Care Center".
This time's image of the male actor is considered completely different, when he always appears with a cold, calm appearance, in contrast to patriarchy and possessiveness when facing his wife Chu Sang Ah (Ha Ji Won) - a former top star.
Speaking about the work, Joo Ji Hoon commented that the film's script is quite simple. "As an audience member who does not know much about politics or prosecutors, I easily sympathize with the situation and enthusiastically participate because it feels like the film has satisfied everyone's desire to see the aspirations" - he said.
Regarding co-star Ha Ji Won, the actor said that he received a lot of help from his senior colleague in the first time the two collaborated. According to Ji Hoon, Ji Won is an attractive, interesting person, always enjoying every moment. The two are so compatible that difficult situations on the film set also become easy.
Meanwhile, Ha Ji Won also assessed that the film was initially successful because of Joo Ji Hoon's participation. She praised her junior for being "cool and sincere", behaving politely, acting immersively, so there was no feeling that the two were working but like enjoying a happy moment.
As for director Lee Ji Won, he expressed his ambition that the film will achieve high viewership ratings, surpassing the achievements of "The Strange Lawyer Woo Young Woo" because this is a work "created with both passion and sincerity".
The movie "Climax" is 10 episodes long and is scheduled to air on the evening of March 16.
