With the theme "DANAFF - Asian Rapidity", the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (LHP) took place from June 29 to July 5. The festival not only honors outstanding films and artists, but also connects and spreads the humanistic values and novelty in the creativity of Asian cinema to international friends.
The third Da Nang Asian Film Festival is an affirmation of Da Nang's development orientation to become a new cultural and film industry innovation center of Vietnam and the region.
This year, the festival has been expanded in scale, continuing to innovate and improve quality, attracting many new and unique films from Asia and Vietnam, organizing many in-depth activities, many attractive film programs and expanding the space for international exchanges and cooperation.
Da Nang identifies cinema as not only an art, but also a driving force for economic development, a means to promote the image of the city, a bridge between people, a place to nurture and spread true, good and beautiful values.
This film festival has the participation of more than 100 outstanding films from many film industries in the Asia-Pacific region, much more than in 2024, which reflects DANAFF's strong spread in the international film community.
Along with that are activities of in-depth academic and professional seminars and workshops to find solutions to develop the film industry in the context of an increasingly changing world.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that for a Film Festival to truly be vibrant, it requires the support of the community, from artists, filmmakers, audiences, businesses to international organizations.
"We are extremely proud to welcome talented faces, works rich in art and creativity from all over the continent to converge, share and connect.
Da Nang City will continue to promote investment, support and create the most favorable conditions for DANAFF to develop sustainably, professionally and have its own identity," Mr. Chinh emphasized.
