On October 12, the People's Committee of Nam Son Ward (Bac Ninh Province) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to restore and embellish the national historical relic of Ham Long Pagoda.
Ham Long Pagoda is one of the famous ancient temples of Kinh Bac, built in the 12th century during the Ly Dynasty, located at the foot of Dam Mountain in Thai Bao village, Nam Son ward.
The pagoda was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic in 1988, associated with the cultural, religious and spiritual life of the people of Bac Ninh.
Currently, the relic still preserves many valuable relics and antiques such as: Ancient Buddha statues and 14 ancient tomb towers from the Tran, Hau Le, Nguyen dynasties; majors, contraries, ancient sea gates...
In recent years, Ham Long Pagoda relic has received attention from authorities at all levels, local people and Buddhists from near and far, and has been restored and embellished with many important items. However, over time, many main items of the pagoda have seriously degraded such as: Tam Bao Building, the Ancestor's Church and two levels of the hall...
Some wooden structures, tiled roofs, and foundations are damaged by termites and cracks; the landscape has not been planned synchronously; the pagoda grounds are cramped, not meeting the religious needs of monks, Buddhists and tourists.

The project to restore and embellish Ham Long Pagoda is implemented with an area of 1.62 hectares, including the following items: Tam Bao, two corridors, the Church of the Ancestors, Tam Quan Inner, Monk's Monument, Mieu Dia Toan, Beer House, public toilet area and internal garden system.
In particular, the main architectural items are restored in traditional style, using natural materials such as ironwood, green stone, rhinestone tiles, restored Bat Trang tiles, ensuring original original and traditional aesthetic value.
In addition, the new Geopark project was built to meet the religious needs of many Buddhists from near and far to the super bridge, the pray for peace... The project construction period is from 2025 to 2027 using socialized capital.
The restoration and embellishment of Ham Long Pagoda not only has the meaning of preserving the historical, architectural and artistic values of the relic but also creates a highlight in the series of historical and cultural spaces in the Dam mountain area.
