On May 7, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, Tran Thi My Hanh, said that preparations for the Lang Sen Festival in 2025 have been completed.
According to the plan, the opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on May 15 at Lang Sen Stadium (Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District) and the closing ceremony will be held on the evening of May 19 at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City).
This year's festival includes traditional activities such as: offering flowers at Uncle Ho's monument, parade back to Uncle Ho's hometown, offering incense at Chung Son Memorial and Temple, and a photo-ride of Uncle Ho from the Memorial to Lang Sen Stadium.

The festival was exciting with opening and closing art programs, the "Uncle's Journey - For National Security" Run, the Photo Exhibition "Land, ASEAN People", the "Lang Sen Singing Festival", the National Ethnic Order Award, mass sports activities...
One of the important highlights is the inauguration ceremony of the Monument "Uncle Ho returns to his hometown" - a project donated by the Ministry of Public Security, located right at the place where he once spoke to his compatriots twice when he visited his hometown. The statue is made of hydraulic brass, over 10m high, depicting the simple and close image of Uncle Ho, promising to become a special cultural symbol in Nghe An.
Along with that, the 9-storey waterfall project at the Mausoleum of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of President Ho Chi Minh - will also be inaugurated on this occasion. Each floor of the waterfall is carved with a flower, carrying a symbol of gratitude to Uncle Ho's stepmother.
For the first time, the festival has an additional 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display at Lang Sen Stadium after the opening ceremony, promising to bring an exciting atmosphere to people and tourists.
Currently, preparations for the festival are being urgently deployed. The Sen Village Stadium has been upgraded, with a modern stage, sound and lighting installed. Kim Lien Relic Site is brilliantly decorated. Nghe An Provincial Youth Union mobilized youth volunteers to support tourists; police and military forces to ensure security and safety for the entire event series.
Another notable highlight is the "Love Vietnam" Project jointly implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper and technology partners at Kim Lien Relic Site. The project applies NFC chips and interactive boards, making it easy for visitors to explore historical information with their smartphones.
The 2025 Sen Village Festival is not only an occasion to celebrate Uncle Ho's birthday but also a major cultural and tourism festival, contributing to honoring the historical and cultural values and spreading the image of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland to domestic and foreign friends - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province Tran Thi My Hanh - shared.
