The Seal Opening Ceremony on the night of March 2nd and early morning of March 3rd (ie, the night of the 14th and early morning of the 15th day of the first lunar month) is the central ritual in the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival at the beginning of Spring and is held solemnly, according to traditional rituals. From 8 pm, central leaders, provincial leaders and delegates perform incense offering ceremonies at Bao Loc Temple, opening the main series of activities of the seal opening night.
The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival is a long-standing custom, expressing the gratitude of the people to the Kings of the Tran Dynasty, with a ritual simulating the court ceremony - issuing seals of trust. Activities of the Seal Opening Ceremony, from 10:15 PM to 10:40 PM to perform the incense offering ceremony, from 10:40 PM to 11:10 PM to organize the seal palanquin procession ceremony from Co Trach Temple to Thien Truong Temple, from 11:15 PM to perform the seal opening ceremony, offering prayers. During the Seal Opening Ceremony, the Festival Organizing Committee closed Thien Truong Temple to ensure the solemnity of the traditional ritual.
After the Seal Opening Ceremony is completed, people will be allowed to enter inside the temples to offer incense and worship.
By 5 am this morning (March 3), seal distribution will be organized for people and tourists from all directions at 3 Giai Vu houses, Trung Hoa Temple Exhibition House.
