Enrollment 2026: Series of notable adjustments from universities

New adjustments in the admission plan

In 2026, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy will maintain 5 stable admission methods as last year, including: Direct admission, priority admission; High school graduation exam scores; V-SAT exam scores; Admission of foreigners; Admission according to training orders.

However, this year's enrollment season, the school for the first time enrolls students using the D01, D07, B08 combinations, especially C00 (Literature, History, Geography).

Blocks C00, D01 (Math, Literature, English) are used by Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy for enrollment in Public Health and Psychology (expected to open).

In addition, many majors such as Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Obstetrics, Nutrition... consider the combination D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) and B08 (Math, Biology, English), in addition to the traditional combination B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology). For Medicine, Traditional Medicine and Dentistry - Maxillofacial, the school only considers block B00.

In the 2026 enrollment season, Hanoi University of Science and Technology maintains 3 stable enrollment methods as in 2025, including: talent selection, based on thinking assessment exam scores, based on high school graduation exam scores.

With the method of considering by graduation exam scores, HUST uses 8 combinations including K01 (Math, Literature, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Informatics), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D04 (Math, Literature, Chinese), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) and DD2 (Math, Literature, Korean).

Compared to last year, the school removed 4 combinations: A02 (Math, Physics, Biology), D26 (Math, Physics, German), D28 (Math, Physics, Japanese), D29 (Math, Physics, French), and supplemented the DD2 block.

At the Diplomatic Academy, in 2026, the school also maintains the same 4 admission methods as last year, including:

- Direct admission and priority admission

- Combined admission based on high school academic results and international foreign language certificates for candidates studying the high school program of Vietnam.

- Combined admission based on international competency assessment certificates SAT/ACT/A-level/IB Diploma and international foreign language certificates.

- Admission based on the results of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.

However, with the high school transcript combined with IELTS and other international foreign language certificates, candidates must simultaneously meet 4 conditions: have an average score of 6 semesters of high school reaching Good (6 subjects reaching 8 points or higher, no subject below 6.5, good conduct...); average score of three years of 2/3 subjects in the combination (not Foreign Language) at least 8.5; graduation exam score with three subjects according to the corresponding combination from 22; IELTS from 6.0 and equivalent.

In which, the conditions for newly added graduation exam scores this year, the requirement for transcript scores also increased, because last year, the academy only required candidates to have an average score of at least 8 for all subjects.

Supplementing new training majors

Phenikaa University has just announced information on regular university enrollment expected in 2026. Accordingly, the school enrolls 15,491 quotas for 80 majors/training programs with 05 admission methods.

This year, the school plans to open a number of training majors such as: Data Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Economics and Investment Management, Commercial Business, Vietnam Studies, Public Relations...

At Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, this year the school also plans to open a new major, Psychology.

Similarly, Hanoi University of Science and Technology also plans to open 5 new training programs, including: Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Korean Language of Science and Technology (standard program), Cosmetic Chemistry, Accounting, Computational Science for intelligent systems (advanced program).
