Netflix recently officially confirmed the next film project with the participation of Lisa (Blackpink), marking a new step forward for the global female idol on the international acting path.
According to an announcement from Netflix on February 5 (local time), Lisa will take on the lead role in a new romantic comedy, inspired by the classic Notting Hill. The project is written by Katie Silberman - the screenwriter behind the success of famous films such as "Set it up" (2018) and "Booksmart" (2019).
Previously, Netflix also introduced the first poster and trailer of the new romantic comedy series called Boyfriend on Demand, marking Jisoo (Blackpink)'s appearance in this project.

According to information from the production crew, the film is written by screenwriter Namgoong Do Young and directed by Kim Jung Sik. The content revolves around Mi Rae - a webtoon producer who falls into a state of exhaustion due to work and life pressure.
When gradually losing faith in reality, she decided to experience a virtual dating service in the form of registration called "Boyfriend on Demand", thereby entering a love journey that was both sweet and contained many unexpected situations.
The fact that both Blackpink members simultaneously participate in new film projects in early 2026 is attracting great attention from public opinion.
In which, Jisoo is highly appreciated for her relatively solid acting background, having participated in many works that received positive feedback such as "Newtopia", "Arthdal Chronicles 2", "Sword to Exorcise Evil" or "Snowdrops".
In contrast, Lisa is still considered a new face in the field of acting. The female singer has just officially entered the screen with her debut role in season 3 of the hit series "The white lotus" as a Mook hotel employee.
Therefore, many opinions expressed skepticism about Lisa's ability when she first took on the female lead role in a Netflix romantic comedy project. Whether this project will help Lisa break through and surpass Jisoo in the field of acting is still an open question.
