On the occasion of National Day September 2nd, thousands of people and tourists came to Moc Chau to visit, relax and immerse themselves in Culture - Tourism Week 2026, taking place from August 27th to September 5th with the theme "Weaving heritage, harmonizing colors".


At 8/5 Square, Moc Chau ward, 14 communes and wards introduce the Mong, Dao, Thai, Muong, Xinh Mun cultural space, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
The booths display heritage, traditional crafts, costumes, OCOP, agricultural products and organize experience in pottery making, brocade weaving, bamboo dancing, xoe dance, folk games.
The H'Mong ethnic men's football tournament also attracted hundreds of people to cheer for 6 teams, creating a lively atmosphere and contributing to promoting Moc Chau culture.


For many families, this is not only a holiday but also an opportunity for children to learn about traditional culture in a close and lively way.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong - a tourist from Hai Phong - said that her family chose Moc Chau during the National Day holiday to visit and experience.
The booths are beautifully decorated, each locality has its own unique features. I like the most being able to directly experience making pottery, brocade weaving and learning about the lives of ethnic minorities," Ms. Huong shared.


Mr. Nguyen Sy Luc - a tourist from Hanoi - was impressed with the joyful atmosphere at the event venues.
My family has been to Moc Chau many times, but this time there are many more activities. The festival atmosphere is fun, the people are friendly, and my children also really like it," Mr. Luc said.
Along with the booths, the art program "Moc Chau - Call of Love Season" on the evening of September 1st, brought performances combining music, dance and traditional costumes, recreating the cultural beauty of ethnic minorities.
The International Brocade Festival on the evening of August 31st, with the theme "Weaving heritage, harmonizing colors" is also a highlight. Brocade products, costumes and traditional handicrafts are introduced, helping visitors understand more about the cultural values behind each product.


According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Chairwoman of Moc Chau Ward People's Committee, the series of cultural and experiential activities contributes to attracting a large number of tourists during National Day September 2nd. People and businesses actively embellish landscapes, improve service quality, and meet customer needs.
Mr. Ha Trung Chien - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee - said that Moc Chau Culture - Tourism Week is an opportunity to promote the image and tourism potential of the locality, and at the same time create more cultural experiences.
We want to promote the image of Moc Chau - Son La to a large number of domestic and international tourists through the event, linking cultural preservation with sustainable tourism development," Mr. Chien said.
In the coming days, tourists can also participate in the Highland Market at Long Sap International Border Gate, agricultural, forestry and fishery exhibition fairs, cultural and sports activities and sightseeing and experiential tours.
Notably, the pao throwing performance with the participation of more than 300 artisans and extras will recreate the unique culture of the Mong people. The final of Miss Galactic Vietnam 2026 is scheduled to take place on the evening of September 5, continuing to create highlights for the series of events.
