He, an old writer, was famous for his tremendous work, writing on all fronts from drama, novels, criticism to poetry. He was seriously ill, hospitalized several times and thought he would not survive, then God had mercy and he was discharged. He started walking normally, attended conferences and thought he had overcome death, but suddenly had a heart attack and had to say goodbye to life.
A beautiful woman full of desire, not yet living much for her own dreams, still jogged every day to improve her health. But one fateful morning took her life after a stroke on the way home from running…
And there are many other cases, like the folk saying "Birth uncertain, death uncertain"...
You have often sat in a daze, sad for a long time when hearing sad news. Therefore, you are very afraid of phone calls in the middle of the night, because it is rarely good news. One time on New Year's Eve, the phone rang, you were startled when you saw his number because you knew his father was seriously ill in the hospital. You were shocked when you heard his voice choking on the phone to announce the sad news and then he cried. The cry of a man in his 70s sounded so sad, it cut into people's hearts like a knife cut. And you lost sleep all night with overlapping, confused thoughts about the value of life, about human existence.
You tell yourself that life is fragile, if you do something, do it now, if you promise something, do it right away, otherwise it might be too late.
But thinking like that is not always possible. Once, when you went on a trip with a group, you took many photos for the group. When you were leaving, an old man kept holding your hand and told you to remember to send the photos. You said yes and then forgot about it for a whole year... Accidentally saw a black avatar photo on a friend's FB and was startled and regretful.
Or the time you owed two cups of tea to the old lady with white hair who lived two blocks away. You didn't have any change so you owed her and considered it a small matter and quickly forgot about it.
A month later, when I remembered, the old woman had moved back to her daughter's house.
You tell yourself that everyone makes mistakes. And you wonder if there are people who have broken their promises to you?
