Circus art strives to conquer the public
On TikTok, the Central Circus keyword attracted about 15 million views, more than 3,000 posts with the same theme, searched with content such as circus, circus ticket prices, circus performance schedules... Accounts of good circus artists of the group of young circus lovers also received hundreds of thousands of views and interactions.
The videos sharing the experience of watching circuses on weekends, the "heart-throwing" magical acrobatics arouse the curiosity of the audience. Since then, the circus has attracted more people to watch, and content related to circus art has spread more widely.
People's Artist Tong Toan Thang - Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation - said that on social networking platforms, there are many young people who follow and love circus.
"Thanks to the support and attention of the public, circus art has changed a lot, no longer just a physical sport but now has integrated emotional elements such as acting, dance, singing... Circus plays are staged to recreate history, combining many art forms that can touch the hearts of viewers", said People's Artist Tong Toan Thang.
The upcoming Vietnam Circus Federation will set up and perform the circus program "Non River Day" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's unification. People's Artist Tong Toan Thang said that the ticket of the program is selling very well, despite the topic of discourse and history, not pure entertainment. Circus plays about revolutionary war, cultural history of the Vietnam Circus Federation always receive strong support from the audience.
Modern circus programs today are focusing on creating interactive experiences, allowing audiences to participate directly in performances, while building diverse topics, suitable for many audiences.
