According to Korean media, Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that it had urgently arrested a man, identified as Mr. A, on charges including fraud.
Mr. A was suspected of trying to sell fake tickets for Blackpink's concert at a coffee shop in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. The police conducted a monitoring at that location and arrested him on the spot.
The authorities are said to have discovered spelling errors and other signs of forgery on the tickets he owned. After verifying with the official ticket sales platform, they confirmed that these tickets were fake.
The investigation shows that Mr. A sold about 500 fake tickets through an old ticket exchange, earning about 80 million won (about 58,000 USD).
The police are investigating the entire level of the crime, including any additional crimes committed by the suspect.
