When emotions create cultural values
On the occasion of the 2025 Sen Village Festival, visiting Uncle Ho's hometown, coming to Kim Lien Special National Monument, we met tour guide Le Thi Ha introducing the relic to a group of visitors from the South. The whole group of guests listened silently as if swallowing each word, some took towels and wiped away their tears. Taking advantage of her short break, Ms. Ha shared with reporters about her work.
When I was young, through the pages of books and stories about Uncle Ho told by teachers, I had a special affection for and loved President Ho Chi Minh. After graduating from university, being recruited and assigned to work at Kim Lien Relic Site, I felt extremely lucky, and at the same time clearly aware that this was a heavy responsibility. I have to strive to learn, research, and learn through leaders, colleagues, people, researchers, documents, books, etc. to have in-depth knowledge to serve the purpose of introducing them to everyone when visiting Uncle Ho's hometown" - Ms. Le Thi Ha shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - a tour guide - said that when hearing the introduction and stories of Uncle Ho, seeing with her own eyes the simple house and Uncle Ho's belongings, many people could not hold back their tears because of emotion.
"The emotions of people and tourists when visiting Uncle Ho's hometown have motivated us to make more efforts in our work. Sometimes I was very tired and burning my neck, but the eyes and encouraging gestures of everyone gave us strength" - Ms. Thanh shared.
Director of Kim Lien Special National Relic Site - Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan - said: There are currently 73 cadres, civil servants, and workers at the relic site, including 21 tour guides. Guides can now explain in 3 foreign languages: English, French and Lao (Thai), the most popular of which are English and Lao.
The guides at Kim Lien Special National Relic Site are cultural ambassadors, conveying information, data, touching stories, unique values and meaningful messages to people, tourists and international friends.
They not only need to have good appearances and a productive voice, but more importantly, they need to have a deep understanding of President Ho Chi Minh's life and career, his love for his homeland, his family and the touching stories surrounding him.

Foreign delegations were surprised and moved when hearing President Ho Chi Minh's explanation of his homeland in their own language. Cultural messages have a strong influence - Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan shared.
Mr. Tuan also said that although there are many AI technologies that support automatic explanations, direct guides still play an important role, especially when they cannot be replaced.
"The warm, elegant Nghe So voice and elegant gestures of the tour guides at Kim Lien Special National Monument made a very strong impression on the groups of visitors when visiting Uncle Ho's hometown. Many groups requested direct tour guides to introduce and show special interest - Mr. Nguyen Huu Bac, Director of Phuc Group (Nghe An) tourism business said.
