New momentum from Hung Yen tourism
Hung Yen is known as a land of the land of the lost, possessing a long history - culture and rich natural landscape. From that advantage, Hung Yen tourism has made remarkable progress, becoming one of the key economic sectors that the province prioritizes for development. In recent years, the province's tourism picture has many fresh colors, many large-scale events have contributed to creating an impression such as the Culture - Sports - Tourism Week, Hung Yen Food Festival, bicycle races, and sports dances associated with the relic space. These activities not only preserve traditions but also create rich tourism products, spreading in the community.
According to the representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) of Hung Yen province, the number of visitors to Hung Yen in recent years has grown steadily by 10-20% per year. This is the result of efforts to diversify products, linking heritage with sports, festivals, and culinary activities. We hope that when mentioning Hung Yen, visitors will think of a land with both cultural depth and modern physical and relaxation experiences" - the representative of the department emphasized.
In the digital transformation trend, Hung Yen has pioneered the construction of a tourism portal and smart tourism applications. QR codes and digital maps are attached at many relics, creating convenience for visitors with the motto "Technology does not replace traditional elements, but is an extension of Hung Yen's heritage to spread beyond the borders".
The province also aims to develop products associated with nature and sports: Ecotourism, community tourism, waterway on the Red River and Luoc River. Key projects such as Con Vanh golf course, Hang Luong Ba Lat port are being implemented, promising to elevate the sports tourism brand. In particular, Hung Yen is testing the "green tourism" model at Ecogarden farm, Dai Dong - Van Lam tourist area, and Khoai Chau clean agricultural village. According to the department's orientation, this will be a long-term direction, both effectively exploiting resources and preserving the living environment.
Along with the achievements, Hung Yen tourism also faces difficulties: Infrastructure in some destinations is still limited, investment resources are not concentrated, and human resources are not really professional. Regarding future orientation, the department representative said: "In the coming time, we will prioritize human resource training and call on large enterprises to invest. Hung Yen wants to develop tourism not in breadth, but in depth, with quality, to retain tourists for longer.

Developing sports associated with life
If tourism brings a new look to the local economy, sports breathe youthful vitality into community life. Each year, Hung Yen organizes 20-25 provincial-level sports tournaments, not to mention grassroots tournaments, national and international tournaments. Football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, martial arts, swimming, sports dance, pickleball... all developed strongly, attracting a large number of people.
The mass sports movement is the foundation for nurturing a healthy spirit and is also a place to discover talents for high-performance sports - the representative of the department emphasized. The province's sports achievements in the past 5 years are quite impressive: More than 1,530 domestic medals and 40 international medals. In particular, the Geleximco women's volleyball team winning the national championship in 2022 or the national children's football team winning the national championship in 2025 have affirmed the name of Hung Yen sports on the national map.
According to the representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen province, an important factor promoting the sports movement is the system of cultural and sports institutions invested through the New Rural Development Program.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, when there are playgrounds and exercise areas, people will naturally be attached to sports. That is the way sports come into daily life". However, difficulties still exist, financial resources for high-performance sports are still limited, facilities are not synchronous, and talent attraction policies are not strong enough. "We are advising the province to issue a mechanism to encourage young athletes, while promoting cooperation with schools to detect talents early" - the representative of the department informed.
In the coming time, Hung Yen will continue to develop mass sports widely, linking the movement "All people exercise following Uncle Ho's example" with building a grassroots cultural life, while focusing on some strengths to create a unique brand.
It can be seen that Hung Yen is developing tourism and sports in parallel, complementing each other. Tourism needs the vitality of sports to become dynamic, while sports have more space to spread when associated with tourism. In the coming time, Hung Yen will both preserve traditional values and create new products, so that the province is not only a destination for today but also a sustainable choice for the future.
