The media said that this is a regret of "Dear Hyeri" even though the film was originally told in a logical, realistic direction.

According to the audience, the screenwriter is abusing Eun Ho's illness to hurt Joo Yeon with the purpose of making the main couple "reconcile", even though Hyun Oh has repeatedly said hurtful words to the female lead, or when he discovered her illness, he only cared about her relationship with Joo Yeon.

The female lead's act of going into the forest where her sister went missing to hold a farewell party with her second personality, accepting Hyun Oh's proposal and passionately kissing him was the peak of controversy.
Some viewers also believe that Eun Ho is a girl with dissociative personality disorder who is taking advantage of her missing sister. Because until the end of the film, the audience still doesn't know where Hye Ri really is.
