On December 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province announced that it has just had a plan to organize the 2026 New Year's Eve Program with many large-scale cultural and tourism activities, spread across key areas in the province.
According to the plan, the program aims to promote the image of Quang Tri tourism, introduce new tourism products, stimulate tourism in the Winter - Spring, and at the same time create a highlight to attract tourists in late 2025 and early 2026.
Activities are required to be organized synchronously, safely, attractively, ensure communication efficiency and fully comply with legal regulations.
One of the highlights is the Countdown Party for the New Year 2026 (Phong Nha Countdown Party), taking place from the evening of December 31, 2025 to the early morning of January 1, 2026 in Phong Nha commune. The program has art performances, modern music, countdown rituals and is broadcast live on many media platforms.
In addition to Phong Nha, Quang Tri province also organizes a New Year's Eve program in Nam Dong Ha ward and Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area. At these locations, people and tourists will enjoy art programs, visit tourism exhibition spaces, OCOP products, local cuisine and experiential activities.
Notably, the province plans to organize low-altitude fireworks displays at many locations at the time of New Year's Eve 2026. Fireworks display activities are closely coordinated between the cultural sector, military forces, police and related units to ensure absolute security and safety.
In addition to countdown events, the province also organizes the "Spring to the Heritage Land" program in Phong Nha area, with a culinary culture space, displaying typical products and street art activities to serve tourists.
Within the framework of the program, Quang Tri province will organize to welcome the first tourist groups of 2026 at Dong Hoi Airport and attractions in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
At the same time, the Quang Tri winter - Spring tourism stimulus program will be implemented from the beginning of December 2025 to the end of March 2026. Many tourism products and services are registered with discounts and promotions, combined with the opening of new accommodation facilities and tourism products.
