On May 7, the Da Nang City Union of Literature and Arts Associations in coordination with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Da Nang and the family of painter Vu Duong organized a program to introduce painter Vu Duong's picture book with the theme "Painting life with emotions".

Poet Nguyen Nho Khiem - Chairman of the Da Nang City Union of Literature and Arts Associations said that the painting book introduction program of artist Vu Duong "Drawing life with emotions" is an opportunity to look back at the creative journey full of enthusiasm of artist Vu Duong - an artist who has silently nurtured the face of Da Nang and the Central region through many years.
The painting book "Drawing life with emotions" is a selection of typical works spanning many creative stages of artist Vu Duong, and also gathers articles, feelings of friends, colleagues and professionals about the life as well as the artistic journey of the artist.
Not only preserving the creative imprint of a creative artist, the publication also contributes to helping the public have a more complete perspective on Da Nang art and the Central region over the decades.
In addition, the program also displays more than 40 outstanding works such as: Night Street Alley, Young Girl and Flowers, Moon Bathing, Mother and Child, Girl Next to the Shack, Abstraction, Duck Boy... bringing viewers an intuitive view of the brushstrokes, colors and unique aesthetic thinking of artist Vu Duong.
According to poet Nguyen Nho Khiem, with his own style taking human love and memories as the source of inspiration, painter Vu Duong has created a strong impression in fine arts life, contributing to enriching the artistic identity of Da Nang and the Central region.

Artist Vu Duong (real name Vo Dai Duong), born March 12, 1948 in Hue, currently living in Da Nang city. From the 1970s, he began to create and participate in domestic art exhibitions.
In 1987, his first solo exhibition in Da Nang marked his official presence in fine arts life. In particular, the exhibition in 1991 in Ho Chi Minh City created an impression and was recognized as one of the typical cultural and artistic activities of that time.
During his artistic activities, painter Vu Duong has made his mark through many individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad; and won many fine arts awards from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Central - Central Highlands region.
His works are highly appreciated for their emotional expression, strong colors but still full of humanity and inner depth. With his heartfelt contributions to fine arts, painter Vu Duong is considered one of the typical faces of contemporary Da Nang fine arts.
