On April 5, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival said that this year's festival stage with the theme "Danang - United Horizons - Connected Horizons" is designed based on the idea of "intersection of integration".
Inspired by the imaginary moment when the Earth slows down, to bring the horizons closer together. At that time, the boundary no longer exists, replaced by the intersection of culture, time and emotions.
The design language is expressed through three layers of space, with curves suggesting bridge spans connecting.
On the highest floor, the arch of light expands like a symbol of aspiration and constantly reaching out thinking. Below, the reflected water surface retains soft streaks of light, creating emotional depth and highlighting the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Over a total width of up to 100m, the stage is intentionally expanded to be compatible with the VIP stands stretching out, helping audiences on both wings still have a complete view.
With an area of nearly 1,200m2 and a main performance area of 50m wide, this space is large enough to hold large-scale scenes, while closely connected to the fireworks sky above.
The organizers said that the most notable highlight lies in the unprecedented mechanical system.
For the first time, a giant lifting arch over 40m wide and over 10m high was put into operation as the central axis of the stage.
Besides, there are 5 mechanical arches that can move independently or synchronously, creating continuous changing space layers. Impressive operating speed, with central arches completing the journey in less than 70 seconds, allows the stage to "shift scenes" flexibly in real time.
Along with the mechanical structure is a strong step forward in demonstration technology, the combination of programming enhancement technologies, high-power lasers and a 3D LED matrix system with Retro Amber lights creating a modern space effect and depicting "light horizons".
One of the special points contributing to shaping this year's stage appearance is that the LED screen system not only plays the role of display, but this screen layer also acts as a "light skin", both see-through and reflective, helping to flexibly and delicately sketch the design concept layers.
The combination of light, screen and mechanical movement makes the entire stage become a "living entity", capable of constantly changing according to each performance, bringing a multi-layered visual experience to the audience.
The opening night of DIFF 2026 with the theme "Nature" on May 30 will be a competition between the host team, the Da Nang Fireworks Team, Vietnam and the Chinese team.
